It's been nearly a month since my last update, but I am happy to report some good progress. As per usual, things that I expect to be quick never end up that way. It's the old programmer's motto: "We do these things not because they are easy, but because we thought they would be easy."
New features:
- Fusion now available as an option at the rest sites. And this fusion is permanent resulting in a more powerful card to help you on the entire run.
- Story elements have been added to the beginning of the game to give you some direction and a helping hand to get you started.
- Added a bunch of new cards and effects. Now up to 45 total cards!
Bugfixes/Refactoring:
- To support fusing cards from the campfire I needed to revisit and refactor my fuse effect (for much longer than I would have liked T_T)
- Repaired the remove card from deck functionality that I broke while working on the above (T_T x2)
- Updated and fixed various tooltips
- Resolved an issue with persisting health and also increasing current health when max health is increased.
- Fixed issue with card granted during intro didn't persist into main gameplay.
My next update will likely involve more cards, more enemies, and maybe even getting some real art in place! Stay tuned, and join my Discord server to get all the updates and to let me know if you have any feedback ^_^
